Community Outreach
At EcoLeaf we know that our vertical farming system is no brainer civic investment.
However we need to get the word out to others. Therefore we work closely with local organizations and perform community
outreach to educate them on the positive impact vertical farming can have in their communities. We work with local schools to
build small, classroom sized farms where students can learn about vertical farming. Our curriculum walks students process
through the entire farming process - from growing and harvesting crops to selling them at market. We want to get young people
to get excited about the idea of becoming an urban farmer and pursue it as a career. Because our end goal is to create
Green-Collar Jobs that develop a thriving Green-Collar Economy.
Veteran Outreach
At EcoLeaf we give immediate job preference
to Veterans whenever possible.
We do this because we know our farms can benefit from the leadership, teamwork, focus and work ethic taught by the military.
Additionally, we know that hiring a veteran means hiring someone that has the ability to accomplish goals, no matter what. But perhaps
most importantly we hire veterans because it is simply the right thing to do. That's why as we grow our farms we have made a
commitment to provide meaningful year round employment to the men and women who have already give us so much.

Felon Outreach
One of our core business values states that anyone
using our farming system cannot discriminate against
people for any reason.
That's why we have made it a high priority to hire ex-felons working to reintegrate themselves back into society. We know that without a legal way to make ends meet many ex-felons find themselves repeating the same mistakes and end up back in jail. However many companies shy away from hiring ex-felons. Therefore it can be very difficult to find a job with a criminal record. This prison cycle must to stop. And we are doing our part to break the cycle by offering ex-felons legal employment earning a livable wage. It's the right thing to do.
