The Reason for Everything
At EcoLeaf our goal is to ignite the urban
agricultural revolution.
We will accomplish this by empowering people with the ability to grow food right in their own community. And not just any food. Our vertical farming systems grow healthy, vegan certified, environmentally responsible food without the use of any pesticides or other harmful chemicals. That's our policy, and it's non-negotiable. Additionally, because our farms are local each one is able to provide many year round agricultural employment opportunities that pay a livable wage. We refer to these jobs as Green-Collar Jobs. And it's our vision to see and an entire Green-Collar Economy providing healthy food for people in areas across the country.
Our Story
EcoLeaf founder Angela Liberman is a world-class
economist and Wall Street banker that spent time
in Silicon Valley during its formative years.
However Angela found her higher calling after researching indoor vertical farming and realizing the benefits it could have
for communities everywhere. However the high cost to build and maintain most vertical farms made it inaccessible to the masses.
Angela then decided to make it her mission to tear down the barriers of entry to vertical farming by developing a method that made it
accessible to people everywhere. To begin her first farming facility Angela returned to her
hometown of Philadelphia and opened EcoLeaf.
About Angela
Angela Liberman has been called the Thomas Edison
of vertical farming.
After beginning her career in the financial sector and then working in Silicon Valley Angela turned her analytical and engineering skills toward optimizing the food growth cycle. Her agricultural inventions and innovations have dramatically reduced the costs of building successful and environmentally sustainable year-round indoor farms. With EcoLeaf Angela aims to make urban indoor farming, food sovereignty and green collar jobs available to every city, town and farmer.
